Is America still great?

In 1835 the foreign visitor to the US, th French writer Alexis de Tocqueville, marveled at the prosperity, opportunity, and human vales he found here. He is often quoted as having said, " America is great because it is good. If America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great." How can we make sure that we never lose site of this!
